The Juxing Bridge was led by Academician He Jingtang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, jointly designed by UPDISEU and Design and the Architectural Design Insand Research Institute of South China University of Technology, constructed by the Nansha District Construction Center of Guangzhou and constructed by the China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Bureau. It officially started construction in March last year and was officially completed after 10 months.
Nansha District is located at the geographical center of the Pearl River estuary and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is the only seaport in Guangzhou and an important hub connecting cities on both sides of the Pearl River Delta and the Hong Kong-Macao region. The landmark pedestrian bridge, located at the junction of Jiaomen River and Wuzhou River in Nansha District, is situated between Chuangxin Bay and International Talent Port, which is the core area of Nansha's cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao. The bridge is part of a project to improve the surrounding area, which includes the construction of five pedestrian bridges and the enhancement of the landscape. The Juxing Bridge is the most iconic and visible landscape bridge project in the project, which will improve the transportation service level and the riverside landscape quality of both sides of Jiaomen River, and also showcase the young, dynamic and innovative urban image of the Nansha cooperation area.
