On 26th of August, right at the year Shenzhen Special Economic Zone was founded 41 years and Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone was founded 11 years, the Menghai Front Bay River Bridge of Shenzhen Qianhai was officially open to traffic, designed by Design Institute of Southeast University Transportation Planning and MARC MIMRAM INGENIERIE S.A of France.
Located at the meeting point of Menghai Road of Shenzhen Qianhai and Chanwan River waterway, the bridge is the key tunnel connecting Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone and Baoan Central Zone. The design concept of the bridge is "protecting wings", aiming to build an elegant and multi-functional city bridge, creating continous, open and pleasant urban transport space.
The project was constructed by Shenzhen Qianhai Construction and Investing Corporation and started on April of 2015. In the 6 years work, the design team from transportation of SEU has overcomed tremendous difficulties and their work was high recognized by local people.
桥梁的设计理念为“护佑之翼”，着力打造功能多元、造型优雅为特色的城市桥梁建筑，创造连续、开放、宜人的多层次城市交通空间，体现城市“生态、智慧、宜居”的新发展理念
项目自2015年4月开始，项目组多次组织专家对设计方案进行论证和优化，对项目的特点和难点进行研讨，克服了小空间节点设计难题，研究了高强超厚钢板的设计应对对策，深化了车致振动效应的行人舒适性研究，严格控制设计质量，实现了建设全过程无重大变更。项目实施过程中，克服疫情等不利因素的影响，现场代表长期坚守在深圳工地一线，保障了项目顺利进展。东大院交通设计团队的技术实力与服务品质得到业主及其他各参建单位的高度评价。
