On June 30th, the introduction meeting of transport master programs of University of Leeds was held successfully in room 332 of transportation faculty building. Professor Liu Zhiyuan, secretary of international communication group Mrs Mao Liuyan, and Phd from University of Leeds Tang Tinali participated in the meeting. The meeting was organized both online and offline, and most participators are undergraduate and graduate students with desires to pursue study overseas in the near future.
At the beginning, professor Liu Zhiyuan warmly welcomed alumni from University of Leeds and briefly introduced the academic history of Faculty of Transportation of University of Leeds. Later the senior engineer Fu Min of ARUP which is the representative of alumni of University of Leeds made an introduction of the international programs the university provides, including the variety of master courses of all directions and their contents, and his own interesting study experience in the university.
Fu demonstrated the essential skills and daily tasks that a transport engineer acquires in the meeting by sharing his professional path of becoming a good transport engineer, which deeply impressed the students. He also answered questions on school applying, preparations before setting out and epidemic issues. It is notable that rich experiences on relative projects matters a lot in the applying process apart from academic scores, English level and personal qualities according to Fu. What’s more, he had discussions with students and teachers on topics of job seeking and overseas projects.
