Weimai Technology Cup, the 4th Jiangsu Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students was held in Hehai university located in Nanjing from March 30th to 31st, 2019. All of the 6 groups of works recommended by our school entered the final, and 3 of them were honored with the first prize (a total of 6), 3 were second prizes(a total of 17), which is the best grade since the start of the Jiangsu Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students.
The Jiangsu Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students is a regional competition of transport science and technology for college students sponsored by Jiangsu Urban Planning Society and Nanjing Science and Technology Association.
The 4th Jiangsu Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students with the theme of 'intelligent transportation, transportation intelligence’ is aimed to cultivate college students’ scientific spirit, scientific literacy, discovery and problem solving skills and team cooperation spirit, which encourages universities to actively organize this competition and select outstanding works to participate in the competition. The competition provides students with a platform to show themselves, attracts the students’ attention to the modern traffic problems and promotes the rapid development of modern transportation science and technology.
There are four competition teams: transportation planning and management, traffic information engineering and control, carrying tools, road and railway engineering and other multimodal transport and urban multimode transportation system design. Ultimately 68 items of the 105 entries from 27 universities were selected to the final, through two-way anonymous review committee of experts. Students of our school made earnest preparations in the early stage according to the requirement of the competition, and reported with confidence. 6 finalists’ entries were praised by the judges of the competition.
The outstanding works which have won awards will be given priority to be recommended to enter the final of the 14th National Competition of Transport Science and Technology for Students (hosted by Kunming University of Science and Technology from May 25 to 26,2019). We wish the winning team of our school will make persistent efforts and strive for success in the following national competitions!
