13-17 January, 2019, the faculty and students of the School of Transportation attended the Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), which was held annually in Washington D.C，USA. 76 papers were accepted, and more than 80 people attended the meeting, among the first-squad universities of participants. Southeast University TRB 2019 Reception was also successfully held.
The TRB meeting had become a stage to present Southeast University to the world, and provided a gathering place where our faculty, students and alumni who live and work in different countries to communicate with each other. This year, Bai Lu won the best doctoral thesis award of COTA, which was under the guidance of professor Liu Pan. This was the first time of a best paper from mainland China after Dr. Yu Hao, who was nominated for this award last year.
Southeast University TRB 2019 Reception was held on the evening of January 14 at Ballroom C, Walter E Washington Convention Center, in its consecutive three years the same place, attracting more than 800 scholars and professionals' attendance. The chairman of TRB Neil j. Petersen specially attended the reception to express his appreciation to Southeast University for its long-term contribution to TRB and congratulation for Southeast University outstanding international influence. During the reception, Liu Pan, the dean of the School of Transportation, had communicated with many overseas talents and encouraged them to work in Southeast University.
